Peace Love and Poms Rescue

Luna is a beautiful 18 pound Pomeranian that is looking for her happily ever after.  Her owner went to assisted living and gave Luna to a friend where she escaped.  We think she knew they were getting ready to take her to the shelter.  Thankfully, the local ACO was able to find Luna and keep her safe before coming to rescue.   Luna was said to be 3 years old, but we do feel she is older.  The vet feels a good estimate is 5 years old.  Luna is housetrained to use pee pads and go outside.  Overall she is healthy, but was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis.  She coughs a very small amount in the morning, and besides monitoring her breathing, she is not bothered and very active.  Luna does take time to settle into a new home, but once she does she gives lots of kisses, snuggles in bed and on the couch, and just loves being with her people.  The only thing Luna doesn't like is being picked up, so she does need steps to get on furniture, and is agile to get in and out of vehicles on her own.  We are working on picking her up and she is getting better, but definitely not her favorite thing.  Luna gets along with other animals, but you can tell she was never around them much.  She wants to play with her furry foster siblings, but doesn't quite know how so she does bark at them to get them to initiate play.  Luna walks well on a leash, and does well in the car.  Her favorite thing is toys!  Luna loves squeaky toys and walking around with toys in her mouth.  We do feel Luna would do best in a home without children and with younger dogs as she can be a bit much for the older furry friends.  Won't you give this sweet girl her wish of a forever family?
