BELLA REQUIRES A FENCED YARD AND MUST BE THE ONLY PET!
If you're looking for a small sweet dog who gives a million kisses and follows you everywhere, Bella may be your girl. She is a super affectionate 3 - 4 year old Pom/Chi mix who wishes to be the center of your world. She does not do well with cats. She had mixed success with her most recent foster doggie sister so to ensure a successful future she would do best as an only pet.
Bella is mostly pee pad and potty trained. She definitely knows what “go potty” means and will run outside and do her business quickly. She will likely have a few accidents as she gets used to her new home. She might also have a pee accident when you leave because she can get worked up.
She listens well and learns quickly and knows how to sit and shake, although she doesn’t really love to shake. She will humor you though!
She does not have any issues with wearing a harness and leash but she is a little weary of taking walks and is unsure of the loud cars and school buses. She feels most comfortable with her humans in the yard or in the house.
She does not do well in a crate during the day but she is perfectly comfortable sleeping in the crate next to the bed but would prefer to sleep on a pillow above your head since she is an avid cuddler.
Bella needs a few minutes to warm up to new people but has loved all the people she met and especially loves kids ages 11 and older. You know she loves you if she comes up to you and puts her paws on your thighs and looks right into your eyes.
Bella wants to be able to sleep in bed with you and cuddle on the couch as she is a wonderful snuggle buddy. If playing, snuggling and a little patience are your thing, she will be your perfect girl.
