Peace Love and Poms Rescue

Hopscotch was adopted from a local shelter in 2017 and in 2018 he suddenly went blind.  His life was turned upside down when he found himself back in the shelter this year which is no place for a blind 10 year old boy so he came to Peace Love and Poms Rescue.  Hopscotch weighs 17 pounds, has a grade 3 heart murmur that will need monitored and his eyes need regular check ups to monitor for changes.  He saw our ophthalmologist with the hope of having his vision restored.  Unfortunately, he is not a candidate for vision restoration due to his retina and optic nerve no longer functioning.  Hopscotch is the sweetest most gentle boy.  It takes him some time to settle into a new environment, but he does well with a little guidance from humans.  He also gets along with the dogs in his foster home.  Hopscotch would love a new family that will be patient while he learns the lay of the land and give him time to trust before he will be comfortable being picked up.  Hopscotch is leash trained, crate trained, loves care rides, and will be a great addition to one lucky family.
