Peace Love and Poms Rescue

Meet Gizmo, a 3yo, 5 pound grumpy faced Long Hair Chihuahua who is sweet as can be, but shy.  Gizmo is a "blue" Chihuahua that has some hair loss on his back end which was reason enough for his owners to give him up.  This little guy takes time to warm up to new people, but attaches quickly, is playful, loves to snuggle, and wants to sleep in the human bed against you.  Gizmo does require a securely fenced yard as he is a perimeter searcher for escape routes for the first week in a new place.  Even though he is shy, he allows all handling while giving you the most judging eyes you will ever see.  This little guy has captured hearts everywhere and will make a family a great new addition.  Gizmo cannot go to a home with children or big dogs due to his small stature.  He does use pee pads and potties outside, but wears a belly band due to some marking. He would benefit from a young confident furry companion as he does like to play with other dogs. Gizmo does have a small umbilical hernia that needs monitored, but there was no way to repair the hernia due to being a pee sized area of fatty tissue.  Besides that he is a healthy happy little man looking for love!  Won't you give this handsome grumpy face boy something to smile about?

To adopt Gizmo, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org.  The $350 adoption fee includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, bloodwork, T4 blood panel, neuter, dental, microchip, and all the love you can handle!
