Meet Suzy, the 4-year-old 4-pound guinea pig, oops, we mean Chihuahua! This girl is the tiniest, most compact little lady who will look like a puppy forever. Suzy ended up in rescue because her family stopped her seizure medications, and she was seizing for over 12 hours before they sought medical care. The medical team wasn't sure the permanent damage she may have, but with consistent anti seizure medication and steroids, she has made an amazing recovery. Suzy has attached herself to her foster momma and is very protective. She will follow her foster dad around, barking at his feet to express her displeasure of him being in her presence. Suzy has been seizure free for over a month, and the vet gave us the thumbs up that she can find her forever home. Suzy is housetrained to potty outside or on pee pads, gets along well with other furry friends, and snuggles with them. She rides well in a car, walks well on a harness and leash, and does well for grooming. She doesn't like being crated and will show her discontent by pooping in her crate. She prefers the human bed with her own fluffy blanket to burrow in. Suzy has brought her foster family so many laughs, and now it's time for her to bring joy to her forever family. Will that be you? Suzy cannot go to a home with big dogs due to her tiny stature and she cannot go to a home with children. To adopt Suzy, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, spay, and all the love you can handle!
