Penny is a 10 year old, gorgeous, blue eyed girl who weighs 18 pound who was dumped in a crate on the side of a NY road. Thankfully she was saved by a good samaritan, only to be in danger at the shelter she was taken to where she was put on the euthanasia list for a lump they decided was cancer without doing any diagnostics. Luckily some wonderful volunteers at the shelter saw her potential and reached out to PLPR! Penny DOESN'T have cancer, just a large fatty lump on her side.  Her foster mom says she is the happiest, most loving girl who loves to snuggle, go on walks and go for car rides. She also LOVES toys and tends to resource guard from other furry friends so she will need to be an only dog. We have tried to get her to like her furry friends, but she is just not a fan of them. Penny does have a grade 4 heart murmur that will need monitored and a collapsing trachea she takes medication for, but her ailments are well managed with minimal medication.  These things don't slow her down one bit and she is always ready for an adventure! She is house trained to go outside or on pee pads, leash trained, and ready to take on the world.  Penny is a girl that has never met a human stranger and will greet humans like they are her long lost friend.  We have taken care of all Penny's vetting, but she does still have some hair loss on her back that may never grow back.  Her eyes and beautiful smile take the focus away from her bald spot and she doesn't could care less about the hair loss.  Won't you give this girl the adventure of a lifetime and be her happily ever after?
