Peace Love and Poms Rescue

Betty is a beautiful 5 year old, 10 pound shih tzu looking for her forever home!  Betty is a puppy mill survivor so she needs a home that understands it takes time and patience for these little ones to work through all their past trauma of neglect and living in horrible conditions. When Betty first arrived, she was a statue for 3 days! Once she started to get comfortable and see the other dogs' routine she has been going going going ever since. In fact she shoots by you like a rocket as you try to pick her up, but once you have her in your arms, that little tail just doesn't stop! Betty is starved for affection and soaks up every little bit she can get. She is learning to use pee pads and has gotten pretty good at hitting the mark, but she doesn't do well in a crate. In fact, she will move her crate by using her body weight to try and get to you, and she does not keep a clean house. Nope, this girl will go potty and then dance away in it when crated. That's okay though, she doesn't need to be in a crate since she doesn't get into any trouble and can potty on pee pads. Betty doesn't walk on a harness and leash, but she also isn't a fan of being outside since she lived her entire life in a shed. We do carry her out for sunshine, but if we aren't right with her, she wants back inside. One thing Betty has discovered living in a home is TENNIS BALLS and TOYS!  This girl will play the day away with her toys and entertain herself for hours romping around chasing a ball. Betty also likes to be in the big human bed (don't worry she won't make any potty messes in the big bed). She loves to get all the rubs and snuggle with her humans, she even likes to watch TV with you. Despite her life of breeding for profit, this girl is a healthy little one who is ready to start her new life with her new family! Will that be you?
