Julia is a beautiful 5 year old 12 pound Pomeranian who lived her life in a rabbit hutch breeding for profit. She was finally surrendered to rescue when she stopped producing puppies. We discovered that was caused by a huge hernia that her reproductive organs were trapped inside. Julia is fixed up now and ready for her forever home. Unfortunately, she has baggage from a life with minimal positive human interaction. We have seen her come around in a few short weeks, and are hopeful she will continue to thrive in a home of her. Julia is very sweet, but shy so she likes to lick your hands, but is fearful of pets. If you sit on the floor she will climb in your lap or take treats gently. She gets along well with other dogs, but doesn't like high energy dogs jumping on her. She needs a patient family that will allow her to settle in and go at her pace with affection. Julia is healthy, a good eater, food motivated, and does well in the car. She will need a fenced yard as she is not good on a leash. She learned quickly to use peepads and does go potty outside too. We hope a family will see her potential and continue to work on building her confidence to be the best girl she can be!
