Peace Love and Poms Rescue

Buddy O is on the hunt for his perfect home! This 5 year old 8 pound boy is healthy, but he does have quirks. He was owned by an elderly woman his whole life so coming into rescue was an adjustment as he lived as a lap dog without enrichment. Buddy is anxious, and started medication to help him which helped him open up and learn how to be a dog. He needs a patient family who will help build his confidence and not force anything while keeping a structured home/schedule including using a crate. He responds well to praise and high value treats, but it does take him time to warm up to new people and settle into a new environment. He loves yellow cheese and is a picky eater so must be fed Hills prescription Biome as it is the only food he will eat consistently. Buddy O is house trained, crate trained, rides well in a car, and co-exists well with other dogs. Unfortunately, he was never exposed to a leash so he will need a fenced yard. Despite his fears, he is good with grooming and tolerant for vet visits. Buddy cannot go to a home with children and would do best in a home that will continue to work with him and help him be the best boy he can be. Once Buddy O settles in, he will be your constant companion.
