Peace Love and Poms Rescue

Pappy Pookie is a sweet, handsome, 8-pound one-eyed senior boy looking for his happily ever after! We aren't sure of an age as his owner adopted him from a shelter many years ago and loved Pookie dearly until his health failed causing him to be placed in hospice and Pappy into rescue. Unfortunately, Pappy Pookie developed an ulcer on his right eye that caused it to rupture before coming to rescue. He also had a bad heart murmur. We got him started on heart meds and after a month his heart murmur improved to a Grade 3! He is one tough old boy estimated at about 11 years old and had surgery to remove his painful eye and some rotten teeth. Now that he is healed, he is looking for a family to love him for the rest of his days. Pappy Pookie is quiet, gentle, and still has lots of life left to live. His only request is his new family provides daily boiled chicken because it is his guilty pleasure, oh and butt scratches! Pappy is house trained to go outside or on pee pads, loves literally everything, and enjoys snuggling. Won't you give an old man his perfect retirement home?
