Benji Lee has had a traumatic 10 years of life before arriving to rescue and this 11 pound boy is looking for a loving forever home. He arrived to rescue with a broken jaw that needed emergency care that was caused by his owners. During his workup we also found that his ribs were covered in old healed fractured showing a life of abuse. He doesn't let it stop him from being a sweet boy and seeking human affection though! Benji is a talker so a single family home with neighbors who don't mind his singing is a must. He also had over 25 bladder stones removed and must be on a prescription food for life. He is housetrained so any change in bladder habits will require a vet visit and urine workup as he also has a history of UTIs. The jaw surgery that saved his life also causes him to be a bit messy with eating. We found an elevated plate and the canned food he currently eats has been just right to allow him the ability to eat independently and reduces the mess. Benji Lee has a Grade 3 heart murmur that was evaluated by a cardiologist and currently needs no treatment. Benji is leash trained, crate trained, does well with other dogs, and loves all adult humans. His life of abuse has also left him with an odd walk that doesn't slow him down thanks to glucosamine. We know Benji Lee won't be the cheapest boy to take on, but whoever gives him his forever home will be a true life saver, rewarded with unwavering love and devotion from this beautiful boy. He is a purely perfect personality that never deserved such a horrible life of trauma, and now that his vetting is complete, it's time for the final step in Benji's journey to have a forever home!
