Baxter is a handsome seven year old Pomeranian who lived in the same home until the arrival of new family members changed his situation.  He’s sweet and affectionate, will happily sit near or next to you, but usually not on your lap. For a chunky guy, he’s quite agile and gets on and off furniture easily. He can also balance on his back feet! Currently, he’s about 14 1/2 pounds. (He’s lost two and a half pounds and has a little more to go.)  Baxter is playful and loves soft squeaky toys. He enjoys going to the groomer and gets along with her little dog. He’s house trained and even a good boy at the vet. He’s just not very patient with small children so a child free home is required. He rides well in a car seat, and walks comfortably on leash. Sometimes he reacts to other dogs and people on the street when he’s on leash, but he is working on this and will need continued work in a forever home. Baxter likes to keep an eye on the neighborhood, and will let you know when your mail or a package has been delivered. He warms up quickly to visitors.  Baxter made himself right at home with his foster family, but now he's looking for a forever home once he has his dental on August 30th - will it be yours?  To adopt Baxter, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org.
